Procura de emprego pela internet cresce em 2010

SÃO PAULO – Depois da crise econômica, que provocou demissões no Brasil, o mercado de trabalho se recupera. A fim de aproveitar esta onda positiva, os profissionais têm ido em busca de novas oportunidades, usando, para isso, a internet.
Para se ter uma ideia, no início de 2010 houve aumento de 21% do número de internautas brasileiros que acessaram sites de carreira e de educação. Frente a 2008, o aumento foi de 43%. A audiência desses portais chegou a 13,478 milhões de pessoas neste ano, em um universo de 66,3 milhões de brasileiros com acesso à rede.
“No início do ano, acaba se elevando o número de pessoas em busca de vagas no mercado de trabalho, tanto para concursos quanto para sites de vagas mesmo”, afirmou o analista de Mídia do Ibope, José Calazans.

How old is too old for an MBA?

An MBA is a question of timing: get it wrong and you’ll find yourself spending £40k+ on two years out of the market when pay is peaking; even worse you may then find it impossible to get back in due to a glut of recently redundant experienced analysts. Equally, however, if you’re determined to do an MBA and you put it off for too long waiting for optimal market conditions, you’ll find you’re passed it. Age discrimination laws mean banks will never admit to turning their noses up at fresh MBAs aged 33+, but this is the reality. Hiring a recent MBA aged 40+ is totally unheard of.

Client is a top private equity hedge fund with an excellent reputation in the distressed space. They are expanding and currently looking to add to the team at a junior level.
The role: you will be working with senior analysts to restructure the distressed companies in which they invest. You will be carrying out research, financial forecasting, coming up with ideas and tracking performance of investments.
The candidate: you MUST be analyst working in a top investment bank within leveraged finance or M&A with a strong technical background. Anyone above a 3rd year analyst will NOT be considered.
